Pita Pizza
I go through phases of having this pizza for a few days in a row: it's so simple to make, delicious, and filling. The best 100% whole wheat pita bread I've found is from Trader Joes. It's a popular item, so stock up and keep it in the freezer. You can pop one in the oven for a couple of minutes to defrost, then remove and add the toppings before baking.
Directions
1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2) Spread Pizza sauce on pita bread
3) Add green pepper and cheese.
4) Bake for about 15 - 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbling.
This is my go-to pizza, but you can any toppings you like. Some pizza sauces are loaded with sugar, so check the ingredients to make sure there's very little or no added sugar. Wholefoods 365 pizza sauce has zero added sugar and works well in this recipe.
